How Can Rashes On The Body Be Treated?

Hello Doc, I have got hives all over my body.I was suggested to use defcort 12mg and levandez 5/10 mg. Defcort used to suppress hives.after 5 days i stopped defcort as suggested by my doctor. But now hives are spreading.my doctor also suggested a dental consultation, and I did a root canal treatment for my tooth decay. However, even after the tooth is treated, hives are seen.I am not sute whether this is allergic or not. Should I try albendazole tablets? Please let me know wheth can be done to cure this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your query.Urticaria (hives) is an Allergic disorder. It recurs quite often even after treatment.I would suggest the following: 1- Inj Sodium Hydrocortisone 1 vial IV once a week by 3 injs. 2- An Antihistaminic Cetrizine 10 mg twice a day.3- Tab Ranitidine 1 tab twice a day.4-Tab Albendazole 400mg 1 tab at bed time for 3 days.5- Calamine Lotion for local application.Hope you find the suggestions helpful.
