How Can Rectal Prolapse Be Treated?

I have rectal prolapse, and it s starting to come out more often, and it hurts to seat down, standing and coffin. Is there anything I can do to help? I m having a hard time to get it back in. Is surgery required to fix this problem. I m setting on a heating pad right now because it hurts so bad! Thanks for your advice.
