How Can Recurrent UTI Be Treated?

i have had several UTI s and a gential culture came back positive for ecoli and morganella morganii. I have taken cipro and keflex and still have it. What other antibiotic can I take to get rid of it and what else can I do natural supplement wise to get rid of this. Do I need to worry about it spreading and causing sepsis?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Urine culture report is indicating that you have urinary tract infection.
You have also taken a course of antibiotic medication.
If the symptoms have not subsided completely, you should be put on other antibiotics which the organisms are sensitive to.
If sensitivity pattern has not been done previously, you need to get your urine culture and sensitivity test done again compulsorily.
Kindly consult Urologist with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate treatment.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.,
