How Can Recurrent Dermatitis Be Treated?

I was diagnosed with severe dermatitis about 5 years ago in between butt cheeks. I have moved and no longer live near the same dr. that prescribed an ointment for me and told me to buy a 1% over the counter anti-fungl cream to go with it. It went away and I could finally sit without pain. 5 years later its back. Is there anything for the pain until I can get back to a doctor as my job keeps me sitting all day in front of a computer?

Hi.
As per your case history you are having perianal dermatitis.
My treatment advice is -
1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily.
2. Use potassium permanganate in water in dilution of 1 :10000 for bathing.
3. Apply an antifungal plus steroid cream like candid-b cream twice daily on it.
4. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and levocetrizine for itching.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Thanks.
