How Can Recurrent Fever And Diarrhea In An Infant Be Treated?

My daughter is one and a half years old... She is having on and off fever since three days..Today she is having loosemotion and vomiting also.. I Hv given her parakid, vizylac. But she is vomiting again and again... I don t Hv vomistop or domstal.. Can u Plz suggest me any other medicine that can help in stopping vomiting.. Thanks

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your child is having viral fever and I will recommend that you should meet pediatrician. Till visiting a Doctor, you can give Ondansetron syrup for vomiting. But more important is fever control with Paracetamol in proper dosage. If fever is more or appears early, then you can give paracetamol again. Once fever is controlled, then vomiting is controlled by itself.
