How Can Recurrent Gout Be Treated?

I m Brian West ( YYYY@YYYY I ve had reoccurring bouts with gout over the past two years, it generally becomes tolerable after 10 days, no meds, just an occasional Ibpro. I like beer- not good for the gout, but would a craft beer be more likely to cause symptoms than a common (Coors) light beer? Not sure if yeast content varies between craft and regular products. Thanks much, Brian

Hello,

You may use anti-gout medication. You have to check uric acid levels regularly.

Avoid non-vegetarian food and alcohol.

Use allopurinol or febuxostat according to your uric acid levels.

Please consult your rheumatologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
