How Can Recurring Sore Throat Be Treated?

Hello, I am wondering if you can help with me a diagnosis. I first had symptoms of a sore throat about 2 weeks ago, then I took a z-pack and the sore throat disappeared over the next couple days. Now I have had a recurrence of a sore throat about 3 days ago and have felt very lethargic and fatigued for approximately the past 5 days. One other symptom to note is incessant high pitched ringing in my right ear that has been present for the past 5 days.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
What medication you have taken for sore throat would help in getting rid of infection.
However, you need to take the following conservative measures to get cured of it and it's associated symptoms.
1. Do salt water gargling twice daily.
2. Take syrup containing Ambroxol or Bromhexine, which would aid easy mucous drainage.
3. Use medicated lozanges for throat soothening.
4. Take steam inhalation regularly, which will help to keep the sinus open.
5. Avoid consumption of cold items like cool drinks and ice-creams.
Gradually, you should be able to overcome such problems.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best and wish you good health.
Regards,
