How Can Red Blotches On The Chest And Face Be Treated?
Hi , for the last year or so I have been having blotchy redness appear on my chest and face and sometimes shoulders. It occurs our of no where and my face feel slushed as well. I am trying to figure out if this is an allergy ,seriously medical , and or an anxiety /anxious reaction.
As per your case history of red blotches on face and chest, my treatment advice is:
1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with SPF more than 30. 2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral steroid, hydroxyzine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harshit Bhachech
