How Can Red Rashes On The Body Due To Mononucleosis Be Treated?

Hello my 4 year old has got monoculosis he has bright red lumpy rash all over his body for a 5 days it is starting to go down now and is a purple colour he is still weak we have seen an doctor today and his liver is enlarged now he is crying with a pain in his left side and his feet are itching on the bottom but no rash there any advise please

Hello,

The symptoms of your son seem to be related to mononucleosis.

This is a viral infection so there is jobs need for antibiotics.

I suggest using antihistamines such as Cetirizine to treat the itching.

I also recommend using Tylenol in case of fever.
