How Can Red Rashes On The Hands Be Treated?

extremely dry hands and red rashes covering backs of hands. Water, vasaline, calamine lotion, all ointments and creams burn. Water also burns except when really cold enough to to cause numbness in hands, this seems to be the only way to stop the burning sensation. How do I treat this?

Hi,

The rash could be irritant contact dermatitis or a tinea infection. In my opinion, your rash could most probably due to Irritant contact dermatitis. But it is very important to rule out Tine infection. You could take an antihistamine tablet and apply a moisturizing cream for a week. If you do not get any improvement, I advise you to consult your dermatologist for further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
