How Can Redness And Roughness On The Left Foot Be Removed?

Hello I m a sixty two year old Black female. I m diabetic and had a kidney transplant almost five years ago. My left foot tends to lean towards the side and I have to remember to straighten it up. Now on the side of that foot it s red and very rough. How can I safely remove this rough area? Or should I have a doctor do it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Possible inflammation or infection with some sort of bacteria or fungus.

As you have been undergone a kidney transplant, it is fair to consult your doc rather than deciding to go for self-removal of the lesion.

Can use immersion of foot in lukewarm water added Epsom salt for primary relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
