How Can Restless Leg Syndrome Be Managed?

I have VERY severe RLS. I am currently on Requip, 2mg HS. I have every side effect written including chest pains but symptoms worse w/o. I am accepted to Johns Hopkins Hospital in July. In the meantime I use to take Gabapentin for same. I recently checked my pancreatic enzymes and they are OK, normal. My doc put me back on Gabapentin 300mg which did nothing, neither did 600mg. Can I take 1200mg for a few days and give heart a rest, maybe longer if works. I just need to make it to July. If you say I can, with or w/o food. Thank you kindly for reply
