How Can Restless Leg Syndrome Be Treated?

I had RLS, had it before knee replacement surgery on January 31, it seems I have it more now that I m all healed (90%), nearly every night. Have had it for years. I bought a product from Walmart called restful legs and it worked, so am going to go tomorrow and get me a bottle. Thanks

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In people with mild to moderate Restless legs syndrome, lifestyle changes, such as beginning a regular exercise program, establishing regular sleep patterns, and eliminating or decreasing the use of caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco, may be helpful.

Also, some home remedies that may help include Leg massages, Hot baths or heating pads or ice packs applied to the legs, Good sleep habits.

Medications may be helpful but are used only in severe cases which are Neupro, and Requip or benzodiazepines, or anticonvulsants, or antiseizure drugs, such as Tegretol, Lyrica or Neurontin.
