Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was diagnosed with rosacea. I was prescribed Oracea, avene day & note crm.,as well as the cleanser & avene retinAl 0.1, all had little effect in controlling my outbreaks... My spouse was given Diprogenta for treatment of excessive dry skin in the area of a skin graft he had on his ankle area for a severe veiness ulcer he had. He suggested I try the Diprogenta on my face to try to clear up the rosacea flare up. In 1 use b4 bedtime I awoke to an overnight recovery of almost all my symptoms with only a teeny tiny faint redness on my face...my question is will this effect me negatively over long term use? I only expect to use this during outbreaks & not for everyday use. Also, does this mean I don t have rosacea, that I have some other kind of skin condition?

How Can Rosacea Be Treated?
Hello, As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
