How Can Rosacea Be Treated?

I have what my Dr says is rosacea.......most of the medication suggested requires staying inside out of the sun......I am taking 40mg of atorvastatin and thought maybe the side effects was causing the redness.....mostly I feel a burning sensation on my face......I QUIT drinking wine for 45 days and that made no difference......any suggestions.

Hi,

Consult a dermatologist and get evaluated. You can try low potency steroid ointment like betamethasone for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
