Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having an allergic reaction on my lips, cheeks and neck but I can t say what it is to. I took 2 doses of methylprednisolone (X2) -- 4:30pm and 6:40pm... I have a runny nose and cough is getting worse. I can not figure out the cause of the hives so I was researching~ When should I be concerned and seek the emergency room services?
You have allergic inflammation as per history. Kindly mention your absolute eosinophil count (AEC) and CBC for giving more comment. Complete the course of prescribed steroid for five days. If AEC is more than six hundred, then fexofenadine plus montelukast combination can be prescribed. Provide your reports for giving more comment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
