How Can Scabies Be Treated?

I am looking for a treatment for scabies. I suspect that the wife and I contacted scabies at a dirty casino room in Las Vegas on the way to Phoenix area from Seattle area. So far our search has come up with Permethrin cream 5% also known as Elimite. Ken & Pat Hill

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, you can use Permethrin, apply it on whole body below neck and take bath after 12 hours. Also, apply creams well in all skin creases and folds.

Wash all your clothes, bedsheets and pillow covers in hot water and let them immersed for 15 minutes. Repeat cream usage after 3 days. Take tablet levamisole and Bandy plus medicines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi
