Understanding your concern. As per your query you have scars on face which are caused by acne which occurs because of infection of bacteria when clogged pores gets filled with sebum ,dead skin and bacteria get infected. Need not to worry. Treatment prescribed to you is good and it has no side effects in short term. Persistent usage can cause darkening of skin. Excessive exposure to sun is the other factor responsible for your condition. You should use product containing benzoyl peroxide. You should apply sun screen Such as TAN CARE rich in SPF 26. Drink 8-9 glasses of water daily and add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. If condition doesn't start getting better in a month then consult dermatologist . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics course and you can go for laser therapy.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
