How Can Severe Anxiety Be Treated?

Having severe anxiety. Looking for possible medications as not much else is working. Veteran, all kinds of family and financial stress over the last 4-6 years since I left the military. Basically would have to render myself disabled to attain VA medical. I m trying not to resort to heavy drinking or smoking as it is illegal in my state. No one to turn to for medical advice, no insurance so it s a difficult situation but do need relief. Become completely sober recently after years of partying
