Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My question concerns my 19-year old son who is a sophomore in college. During a recent conversation when I asked him how he was doing, he said he was fine and really enjoying his new job. But then when I asked him what else was going on, if he was happy that school would soon be starting, he replied, Yes, I m loving my new position and I m really looking forward to this fall, but I ve been having anxiety attacks. When I asked about what (I had no clue he was feeling this way), his reply was About everything. Any suggestions?

Hi Your son may be having generalised anxiety disorder, a minor psychiatric disorder where the person feels free floating anxiety to almost every day to day things. He needs psychotherapies like cognitive behavior therapy.. or/and anxiolytic medications. Since these are prescription drugs, need to contact a specialist Wish your son recovery soon
