How Can Severe Asthma Be Treated?

I have had severe asthma for about 7 years now. I have to use a steroid inhaler twice daily. For over a week now I have been having an asthma attack. I have gone to the doctors 3 times. They gave me lots of oral steroids and antibiotics. There has been zero relief or improvement from the drugs. I don t have a cold and only with in the last 2 days started laughing.

Hello,

You need to consult an allergy specialist doctor. Your allergy testing should be done to find causative allergen. Try to avoid that allergen to prevent asthma attacks. For maintenance therapy fluticasone plus formoterol combination inhaler prescribed. The dose can be put high as you have repeated attack. Check your AEC and spirometry to guide for further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
