How Can Severe Backache Be Treated?

I have back pains and once I cough and couldn t get out of my bed nor walk on my own for almost a month . When they gave me a MRI they said it was minimal bulging disc in the lower left lumbar now after four years of suffering their saying the same thing,but now with a little degeneration . They refuse to treat me for pain cause they say its not servers please can someone help me get my life back? I m 44yrs old and I ve been struggling with this for almost five years
