How Can Severe Diarrhea With Minimal Pain Be Treated?

Hello, I am having bowel movements that are very frequent in nature, up to 5-6 times per day. I typically have a movement almost immediately after eating, certainly if I eat an entire meal. The consistency is diarrhea. No blood or other uncommon substances. Minimal pain at times, but very limited. The movements usually come-on very rapidly and require that I go to the bathroom quickly. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a gastroenteritis.
I recommend taking over the counter medication such as Imodium.
I also recommend to take pro-biotics daily.
You should drink a lot of liquids and rest.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
General & Family Physician
