How Can Severe Headache Be Treated?

My husband is on prescription Tramadol and took 2 Excedrin Migraines for his headache about 5 hours ago. Unfortunately, the headache has not subsided. Can he take any other over the counter medications to help alleviate his headache? Possibly Aleve or Ibuprofen?

hi
thanks for using HCM.
Acute Migraine headache can be aborted with naproxin/ibuprofen/Paracetamol. You can also try ssumatriptan/ rizatriptan for the same. However these drugs are only for acute management. For prophylaxis you have to try different drugs like Beta blocker / Flunirazine/ topiramte etc.
thanks
