How Can Severe Headache Be Treated?

I went to the e r two days ago because I have had a headache for a week that just will not go away. They gave me a I ve with what they call a headache cocktail. That did not work so they have me Butal acts caffeine it took it down a little and went home with a prescription of it. Never re aha Lily help with the headache. It seems to be getting worse. What should I do?
