General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The side effects you are experiencing with losartan is a very rare allergic reaction associated with losartan. Could you tell me if you are experiencing difficulty in breathing also with hives?

If so it's an emergency condition requiring quick medical treatment. If not, take tablet chlorpheniramine twelve hourly orally for hives. Consult your treating physician and ask him to change the medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Hiren Hirpara
