How Can Severe Lewy Body Dementia And Parkinson’s Disease Be Treated?

My husband is now bedridden for one year now he has Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson I am his 24/7 caregiver (his wife) This is the most awful disease I have ever seen..He takes Namenda and a depression pill daily..Does these drugs really help with his condition or not..He knows most days what is going on but just can t express himself.. He is a grown man trapped inside his own body.. It is very heart breaking to watch him slowly fade away and I nor him can do anything about it.. Are there any new reports to read or to get the newest information on this disease..Prayers and answers are appreciated.. Thank you.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Consult a neurologist and get evaluated.

Symptoms can be managed to an extent with drugs like Levodopa.

Keep in mind that a complete cure is not possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
