How Can Severe Migraine Be Treated?

I ve had chronic migraines for over a year and a half, I ve had MRI s that show up clear, I ve had CT scans, I ve been to see a neurologist and no one can find me any answers. It gets to the point where I end up nauseous and vomiting. The only time it will go away is if I literally use every prescription for migraines, antihistamine, and OTC pain killer that I have; sometimes, that doesn t even work. I ve been really worn down lately and have been bruising easily. I don t have insurance at the moment to get a complete work up, how can I make the migraines disappear for good?

Hi,

Your symptoms favors diagnosis of migraine. For migraine if over the counter anti inflammatory drug like Brufen doesn't work than higher group of drug needed like Rizatriptan.

It can be taken when acute attack of migraine occurs. For repeated migraine prophylaxis with Topiramate or Amitryptilin needed.Avoid bright light and loud nose exposure.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
