How Can Severe Muscle Ache Be Treated?

Hi, I have been experiencing severe muscle ache. I am taking a statin for high cholesterol. Can these muscle aches come from the medication? I am a very active 63 year old, spin classes 3 times a week, gardening, Hiking etc... these aches are all over my body not just one area.
