How Can Severe Neck Pain, Moving To The Skull, Be Treated?

Hi. I went to the ER today for severe pain in my neck which then proceeded into my lower right skull. I have limited movement from the stiffness and now the pain in the base of my skull has returned, up to a 10, and Im in severe pain. I cannot stop icing because once I do it flares up again. They gave me muscle spasm and pain medication...not really helping.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi,

I passed carefully through your question and would recommend performing further tests to investigate for the possible causes underlying your complaints: a brain CT scan and a cervical spine X-ray study.

In the meantime, I would recommend holding a cervical collar. A cervical spine MRI may be needed too, based on the X-ray report.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
