How Can Severe Pain In The Abdomen And Diarrhea Be Treated?
My girlfriend has been diagnosed with diverticulitis, gastroenteritis in the past. She has seen a gasterenterologist recently, took her off statin drug , now on omeprazole for a few days. she has had increasing stomach pain, today ,most intense with diarrhea. she is having blood work done, has hx of melanoma, and family hx cancer. I ask if she wants to go to the hospital, and of course not amenable to that yet. should I just take her to the nearest hospital? I think that is where she will wind up soon

Hi ,
Your girlfriend needs to get some tests done , simple omeprazole is not gonna help relive her pain. You should take her to the nearby hospital if these medicines dont work , give her these medicines for atleast 5 days . It seems an acute gastroenteritis phase
1. Ciprofloxacin 500 mg BD
2. Tab Falgyl 400 mg TDS
3. Tab Buscopan BD
Along with these , give her light food , keep her well hydrated
