How Can Severe Pain In The Abdomen Be Treated?

Having abdominal pain that is moderate to severe and has kept me up all night but not sharp. Feel more like a level 3 contraction that never stops. It s is from middle of belly to right lower side. I had a hysterectomy 13 years ago so I know I m not pregnant. I was blaming gas but it won t let up with antacids and heat made it worse. Taking deep breaths makes it worse. I pulled a back muscle two weeks ago so I m not sure if my left lower back is that or kidney. Have had kidney stones 17 years ago. I also have some IBS issues which is what I ve been blaming it on. Just can t get pain to let up in any position.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The abdomen needs to be physically examined. An ultrasound of the abdomen pelvis should be done. Anti spasmodic and PPI can be added as symptomatic treatment.

Hope I have answered your query.
