How Can Severe Pain In The Abdomen Be Treated?

I recently had the barium test which showed my severe spasms. Muscle opening to stomach is limited and food backs up with considerable pain and frequent upchucking. I had h. hernia repair about 14 years ago and have been taking pump inhibitors and antacids for a long time. I am allergic to iodine, so barium test was last resort. Is there any procedure that could be helpful?

Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I don't think there is another examination to substitute barium test.
Take spasmex or buscopan to relieve spasms.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
