How Can Severe Pain In The Ankle And Feet Be Treated?

I have had severe pain for the past week and half. Went to the Urgent care in my home town, had xrays of my lumbar spine and they were negative. Was given Ty#3. The pain in the low back has subsided somewhat , but the pain in my ankle and foot is worse. I have numbness in my toes, heat or cold do not help The Ty #3 works but takes a long time to start working. What else can I do to relief the pain. I am seeing a Chiropractor on Monday?
