How Can Severe Pain In The Fingers And Joints Be Treated?
Hi,I ,58yrs woman ,a teacher is feeling severe pain in shortest finger of my right hand ,my uric acid while tested last month is above 6,I have severe joint pain in my left knee less, but more in right knee, suggested knee replacement by doc.plz suggest me sm home remedy n what to avoid.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Pain in right finger joint is mostly due to high uric acid. So avoid high protein diet and start febuxostat 40mg twice daily to reduce uric acid level. Your bilateral knee joint pain is mostly due to severe osteoarthritis of knee. Conservative treatment for this involves vigorous physiotherapy, application of warm water pad on knees, weight reduction, avoid crossed leg sitting, avoiding prolonged walking and standing. If pain worsens despite all these then knee replacement is the only option. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
