How Can Severe Pain In The Hip And Pelvic Area Be Treated?
I had L5S1 fusion 8 years ago.It relieved a lot of my pain in my leg but Started having excrutiating pain in my hip and pain so bad in my pelvic area (feels like somebody is literally stabbing me)but this pain goes away almost as qui quickly as it comes. They had done An MRI A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO WHERE THEY SAW A SMALL TEAR IN MY LABRUM Buy not bad enough to do surgery.I do go still after eight years every three months at the pain clini for synergies treatments and cortisone but to no avail.Could this pain mean that the labrum could have torn because I can not walk long distances without having pain in my hip and pelvic area.Desperate for help. The pain clinic is wonderful but wondering what would be your insight on this
It is due to nerve compression caused by spine segments. As first-line management, you can take drugs like gabapentin for pain relief. If symptoms persist you can opt for treatment options like steroid injection.
