How Can Severe Pain In The Joints Be Treated?

I am a 51 year old woman having extreme joint pain that radiates, from ankls, knees to hip 24/7. I am stiff and uncomfortable all the time. I have Graves Disease and had blood panels for fibromyalgia but they came back negative. I want to know what it could be and how to treat it, if possible.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Since you have been diagnosed with Grave's disease, the possibility of autoimmune arthritis like rheumatoid arthritis should be considered as the cause of pain. X-ray of the affected joints, ESR, rheumatoid factor, ACCP and ANA analysis are required at this point.

Regards

Dr. Lekshmi
