Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a serious knee injury in the fall of 2015. It never had a diagnosis. After the injury, I could put little pressure on it and I stayed in bed for around three days before I could really start walking again. The pain slowly subsided. I have played two softball seasons and a marched in marching band since. But I still continue to have pain around my knee cap, on the side of my knee, and behind. Sometimes it is severe pain and other times it s kind of dull. It hurts mostly when I m on the leg for long periods of time, running, or it s set at an awkward position. I had problems walking up steps the other day. Do I need to be worried?
