How Can Severe Pain In The Knees Be Treated?

HI Doctor. I have been suffering from knee pain for the past 8 yrs. My cartilage so dry and am feel so pain when walking. I have been applying oil for the past four years so pls advice me what type of treatment has to take for this. If applying oil continuously may affect the veins.

Most probably you are having a common condition known and osteoarthritis. It is nothing but wear and tear of knee joint especially the cartilaginous part. It is quite common among elderly. You can go for supportive measures initially as analgesics like ibuprofen or Diclofenac. Hot compresses and exercises. In advanced cases knee replacement is the only option. Consult an orthopedic for your expert opinion.
