How Can Severe Pain In The Left Armpit And Neck Be Treated?

I have been in the care of a neurosurgeon for a month. Following a cervical MRI, I was told that I have cervical spine stenosis on both sides of C4, C5, C6 and C7. I m currently receiving Cervical spine injections along with physical therapy. I ve continued to experience left side back, armpit, arm and neck pain combined with tingling. What is the common treatment for this condition as well as duration for the symptoms? Any insight is appreciated. Thank You! Mitzi

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

*As per my surgical experience, the current pain in arm and neck seems to be referred pain via nerve compression of underlying structures.

* I would recommend you to provide me all MRI plates for detailed evaluation and further guidelines in junction to that.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
