How Can Severe Pain In The Left Knee Be Treated?

I have an existing left knee replacement. This was about 8 years ago it has never been right I did all the therapy but it has never been without pain. It is now very bad much pain. I ve been to three Ortho Doctors tell me me the same thing . Im 80 years old with many health issues. They say I m high risk and don t seem to want to replace my knee. Is there anything you can suggest other than a complete knee replacement ? Thank you , Al Rymark

Hi,

It might be a part of arthritis.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
