General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There maybe nerve related pain present that is contributing in addition to the muscle injury. Nerve injury can occur in fractures.

Nerve related pain tends to occur at random intervals. In addition to the use of regular pain medication, your doctor may also want to prescribe nerve related pain medication such as amitriptyline, nortriptyline, tegretol, lyrica, gabapentin.

I hope this helps
