How Can Severe Pain In The Tailbone Be Treated?

I fell 3 weeks ago and hurt my tailbone. Instead of getting better, everyday the pain is getting worse. It hurts 24 hours a day. I know there is not much you can do about a fractured tailbone but do you have any suggestions? I have a Dr. s appointment tomorrow.

Hello,

No, if the tailbone is fractured also you need to get it fixed. First, we should know whether the fracture is hairline or major compact. So get an x-ray of pelvis done to rule out that. If there is no fracture then treat yourself with painkillers like tramadol, diclofenac for 3-5 days then all will be fine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
