Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Ropinirole is considered a very good medicine for restless leg syndrome. When it doesn't help then other medicines like Gabapentin can be used. So, at present your doctor has given you correct medicines. You should wait for few days for medicine's effects. Meanwhile, you can try other treatment modalities like avoiding alcohol use close to bedtime, massaging the affected parts of the legs, taking hot baths, applying hot or cold to the affected areas, and engaging in moderate exercise.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Prashant Gohil
