Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
It s a problem with my brother who is 13 years old. He has been asked to give Pendiure LA12 for every 3 weeks for Rheumatoid arthritis. He is using it since Aug 2016. No side effects are observed so far. There are no frequent joint pains (he used to get pains only for legs) since then. I took a look at his leg randomly and observed that one of his legs is bit thinner when compared to the other one. Is this something to do with Rheumatoid arthritis?? Please suggest. If not whom should be consulted in this case. We have consulted an Orthopedician Surgeon. Thinking of going for any other hospital for a second opinion. Please suggest.
Sorry to hear of his disease. Generally, thinning of one limb is not because of RA. This may be because of disuse, or neuropathy.
Causes are many and need proper examination and evaluation. Generally, this is evaluated by a neurologist. But you can talk to your GP, he would see and examine and then give you plan ahead.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
General & Family Physician
