How Can Severe Sciatica Be Treated?

I have several bad discs and sciatica pain. I am 72. I was taking the regular Hydrocodone and it has changed. The new hydrocodone/acetamin does not help. It is almost 1:30 and I am having bad pains. I have been taking the new Hydrocodone for three weeks. Can I take Metaxalone tonight?
