Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I got a severe stomach pain yesterday, like a constipation pain, but a lot sharper. I was able to evacuate, then it was followed by diarrhea. For the last day, there was blood coming out, and sharp pains in the pelvic area every 20 minutes or so. It seems the blood has stopped, but the chronic pain is still there. Is there something I can do? is it something that will cure itself?
hi sir/madam, Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
Tests to be done:- Complete blood count (CBC). Liver enzymes. Pancreatic enzymes. Urinalysis tests. Ultrasound. Colonoscopy.
Treatments:-
The treatment for abdominal pain depends on its cause. Treatments can range from medications for inflammation, GERD, or ulcers, to antibiotics for infections, to changes in personal behavior for abdominal pain caused by certain foods or beverages. In some cases, such as appendicitis and hernia, diagnostic tests, such as analyses of blood, urine, and stool samples, CT scans, and endoscopy, may be required to rule out or confirm a specific diagnosis, and surgery may be needed.
Hope i was helpful. Stay healthy,Stay safe.
