How Can Severe Stomach Pain, Back Pain And Headache Be Treated?

Hi There, I have extreme stomach pains but not throwing up. Feel like heart burn. Have strong pain in my back as well. Headache between the eyes for the past two days. In the morning its better but in the afternoons everything hurts. I am not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms you are experiencing are due to acute viral infection which is also involving your GI tract with heartburn and pain but no throwing up.

I advise to:
- have more rest
- take plenty of fluids (plain water with oral rehydration salts, tea)
- take antacids to stabilize stomach pH
- take probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora
- take an oral analgesic like Paracetamol or Mefenamic Acid for the pain.

If no improvement should consult with your caring doctor further.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
