How Can Severe Swelling And Pain In The Ankle Be Treated?
Initially I went to er for severe ankle swelling and severe pain without a physical injury. Ana blood test was 1:80 speckled and negative for lupus specific test. Red blood cells indicated anemia and elevated B12. As the weeks past my symptoms effected my entire body, my nerves, I developed tingling, squeezing of muscles, tendons and veins. My joints remained achy continued to ache. My pcp referred me to a rheumatologist but I suggested a neurologist since I didn t test positive for the other lupus test. I m out of meds and waited a month to see the rheumatologist. Should I be seeing a neurologist?

How Can Severe Swelling And Pain In The Ankle Be Treated?
Hello and welcome to `Ask A Doctor` service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advise. * As per my clinical experience, the swelling with pain will be best managed by consultant surgeon rather than neurologist. * I doubt possible bursa cyst around the ankle joint. Feel free to post further doubts. Thank you.
