My bottom tooth has been hurting for the last couple of days. There is some skin in between my tooth that looks like a bumb. I believe my gums are swollen. My ear , neck, jaw, and shoulder all experience pain along with my toothache. My body temperature is 95.7 F
If you have a toothache and the tooth is decayed then the pain is due to nerve exposure causing nerve irritation and pain.
The skin like bump between the tooth if it is extending from the gum then it can be a gingival polyp or a gum polyp.
But in case if it is appearing to be coming out from the inside of tooth then it can be a pulp polyp.
A clinical examination has to be done to rule out what exactly it is.
In case if tooth is decayed then first of all an x ray has to be done.
If tooth is in a condition to be saved then root canal treatment will be done after removing the polyp. It will be followed by antibiotics and painkillers.
